The Lifecycle of Hemp

Hemp is a broadleaf plant with a long taproot and, under ideal conditions, it grows very rapidly—fast enough to outgrow most weeds. Indeed, this is why our beautiful plant is known as “weed” – because it grows like one! Hemp loves well-aerated soil and is tough enough to withstand most pests and insects. Hemp returns loads of nutrients back to the soil in the form of unused parts. The stem, leaves, roots, and tops all help fertilise next season’s crop. The deep taproot helps loosen soil and protect against erosion.
